"Ice-Hurling" 04/03/2018

Berlin is besieged by freezing temperatures and most of Ireland is snowed-in!!! With an outdoor event in Hamburg cancelled, the disappointment 'snowballed' into Sunday and the subsequent cancellation of our morning training due to unsafe ground conditions. However, where there's a will, there's a way as the Keogh men try out 'Hurling on Ice'.

The ice moment turned from a private training session into a public enjoyment after the video hit social media. Within 24hrs, the BBC were on the phone and wanted to know more!

Enjoy listening to our chat with BBC Radio Foyle this morning (**begins 1hr 50mins**CLICK BBC IMAGE BELOW), where Club PRO Dave speaks about the recent video circulating of the 'ice-hurling' phenomenon which recently appeared in Berlin. Sadly due to the restricted time, the BBC team couldn't feature our two video stars, Sam Keogh & James Keogh, but you can catch them doing their thing in the video. Thanks to Dessie, Richard & Grainne at BBC; respect to James & Sam for being great club & GAA ambassadors!

If you're interested in trying out our Gaelic games, or just coming along to spectate and chat, contact us at info@setanta-berlin.de and check out our future events linked here.
